One block in Brooklyn

It is a little street, only a block long, between two big housing projects in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. It has only a handful of buildings that anybody lives in, a sprawling schoolyard playground and a small city park — all pavement, no grass to speak of….

Still, living on Martin Luther King Jr. Place is “special,” said Angelina Lopez, a resident, “because it’s a little street. Everybody is talking about the big Martin Luther King streets, but nobody says nothing about the little one.”

More in this NYT story.

Obviously, pictures of Brooklyn’s MLK would be welcome in the pool.

Albuquerque

Albuquerque MLK Blvd, originally uploaded by jaunty drifter.

The MLK in Albuquerque, NM, is apparently rather short. But jaunty drifter came up with these nice images.
