The past, in Tampa

Brickonnade, originally uploaded by xvm.

“Dunno what this was,” writes xvm. “MLK @ Florida.” A commenter on Flickr replies: “My mother is pretty sure that this was originally Clark’s Drug Store at the northwest corner of MLK (formerly Buffalo Avenue) and Florida Avenue. It later became Touchton’s Drug Store, and later, a costume shop.”

Portland lights

Back in Portland, originally uploaded by Claire L. Evans.

The caption explains: “I took this photo exactly as the light turned from red to green, thus catching the legendary ‘blue flash.'” Nice.
